Troubleshooting
Common issues and how to resolve them.
Extension not loading
- Refresh the current page
- Check your internet connection
- Restart your browser
- Make sure the extension is enabled in your browser's extension settings
Sign-in issues
- Verify you are using the correct Microsoft account
- Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again
- If signing up, make sure you click Sign up (not Sign in) on the first login
- Contact support if the problem persists
Document generation fails or takes too long
- Make sure a CV has been uploaded (required)
- Check your internet connection is stable
- Reduce the total uploaded content to under 30–40 pages
- Try generating again after a few moments
- If the issue persists, try a different browser or the web app
ATS import not working
- Confirm you are on a valid candidate profile page
- Refresh the ATS page and try again
- Check that your ATS session hasn't expired
- Make sure the browser extension is up to date
- Open the extension and verify you are still logged in to talentkiwi
Generated content is inaccurate
- Ensure the uploaded CV is readable (not a scanned image with no OCR)
- Add recruiter notes to supplement information missing from the CV
- Use the Enhance feature to correct specific sections
PDF export is too large
talentkiwi automatically compresses PDFs. If the file exceeds 5 MB, try:
- Removing large attachments from the export dialog
- Compressing images in the source documents before uploading
