Gap Detection
How talentkiwi detects and flags employment gaps in a candidate's history.
talentkiwi automatically analyzes the candidate's work history and flags employment gaps that may require explanation.
How it works
After generation, gaps in the employment timeline are highlighted in the review panel. A gap is flagged when there is an unexplained period of more than a defined threshold (typically 3 months) between positions.
Reviewing gaps
Flagged gaps appear in the Gap Detection section of the edit panel. For each gap you can:
- Accept — acknowledge the gap; it will be noted in the document if your template supports it
- Explain — add a note explaining the gap (e.g. parental leave, further education, health reasons)
- Dismiss — mark the gap as not relevant for this dossier
Recruiter notes
If you have information about a gap from an interview, add it as a recruiter note before generating. The AI will incorporate it into the document automatically.
